Grow Veggies In-Person Program (Tuesdays)

Our In-Person Grow Veggies program is a 7-month program that starts on Zoom while the weather’s chilly, and moves to in-person, hands-on sessions once it warms up, usually by week 5 or 6.

The program fee of $480+HST includes 30 weeks of program instruction, handouts and resources, a share of the harvest (amongst those in attendance), and everything that we’ll need to grow vegetables in our team garden plot including seeds, supplements, tools, etc. The in-person sessions take place on our urban farm at Downsview Park, which is easily accessible by car or public transit. Classes start at 6pm each week, the online sessions end at 8pm, and the in-person classes end just before sunset. In-person classes happen rain or shine, but may be cancelled if there is high risk of lightning or heavy rain.
